Notice that I run AMD64, so, I think it's a library problem, but not sure,
Thanks

this is my solution, x-posted from the discussion on a make error compiling the wine update and the cedega forums:
edit your use flags to include ntpl support, make some coffey and execute:
Code: |
bash-2.05b# emerge --unmerge linux-headers && emerge linux26-headers &&env-update && source /etc/profile && emerge glibc && emerge gcc && emerge --newuse --deep world &&
revdep-rebuild
|
now edit your /etc/portage/package.keywords file to include this:
=media-libs/giflib-4.1.3 ~x86
now emerge media-libs/giflib
ps - you may need a LOT of coffee
pps - this worked fine for me, but it may not work for you - but even if it dosent work at least youl be back with a bleeding edge of a system.
ppps - DONT use this if you like 2.4 kernels, as i think it eats them.- it worked fine on 2.6.10
pppps - this seems to solve boath the make error 2 error and the x11drv not loading error - at once |

as you see, i got nptl. giflib is at 4.1.3, putting a ~amd64 in keywords, 4.1.3 is still the package who is installed. do i use ~x86 on an amd64-platform? _________________ Too many connections. Please try again later. |

I'm having so much trouble with this Running Wine 20050111 and did emerge world today. Have emerged and unmerged giflib and lifbungif, setting and unsetting the 'gif' flag in endless variations in order. _________________ "So slay me now! I have little magic left."
