Right after I installed gentoo and got it up and running, i decided to emerge gnome as a desktop environment... That was 2 days ago, and it's still running!
Is it worth killing the emerge and trying again, or is this normal? Surely not...

2days does seem like a long time, can we see some specs of your machine?
Speed/ram/kernel etc. |

It took a couple hours to sync in the gentoo install, but dang... |

BTW: it's running. I jsut saw on the console that it's emerge-ing 121 or 129 modules |

Well, I got gnome up and running fine soon after I posted last. After a re-syncing, everything went smooth.
