Hi.

I'm trying to install gentoo on my new computer. The 2004.2 live-cd did not detect my network controller however. The network controller is a VIA VT6122 Gigabit LAN, integrated on the motherboard (K8T800 Pro, AMD 64).

I guess I need to do:

Code:
Modprobe whatever

But what module(s) do I need to probe?

Thanks.
Andy

Uhm try, modprobe via-rhine

note, if you don't know what module you need, try take a look in
/lib/modules/2.6.7-hardened-r4/...

Good luck,

I guess you can download a driver from here:
http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=71#AP
...but that doesnt really help you if you need that NIC during installation :?

EDIT: There we go, someone already found an answer :)
