hi there!
im useing the Canon Powershot A300, which should work well under linux.
However i have problems getting it working. the first curious thing is, the following:
Code: | $ gphoto2 --list-ports
Devices found: 9
Path Description
--------------------------------------------------------------
usb: Universal Serial Bus
serial:/dev/tts/0 Serial Port 0
serial:/dev/tts/1 Serial Port 1
serial:/dev/tts/2 Serial Port 2
serial:/dev/tts/3 Serial Port 3
serial:/dev/tts/4 Serial Port 4
serial:/dev/tts/5 Serial Port 5
serial:/dev/tts/6 Serial Port 6
serial:/dev/tts/7 Serial Port 7 |
however, i have 8 usb ports and 2 normal serial ports on my system.
the 2nd problem is, that my cam isn't recogniced by gphoto2: Code: | # gphoto2 --auto-detect
Model Port
--------------------------------------------------------
#lsusb
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 04a9:3076 Canon, Inc.
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 |
other usb devices are working (as usb-mass-storage), so i guess i have done everything correctly.
i have no idea what to do. maybe you can help me...
