Just thought I'd share my experience with a MythTV/Freevo scheduling problem I finally figured out:
I had installed MythTV and Freevo so I could compare the two for myself, but was having trouble with the TV listings in both programs. Both programs would download the TV listings fine, but everything was offset by an hour. For example, a show that really came on at 10pm would be listed as showing at 9pm. Adjusting the XMLTV offset in MythTV or modifying the settings for tv_grab_na_dd didn't make any difference.
I noticed a post on the MythTV mailing list describing a similiar problem, and the response said to check the timezone settings. At first I ignored it, since my /etc/localtime was linked to EST, and my clock was correct.
I finally checked /etc/rc.conf and changed CLOCK to "local". Adjusted the system time with date, and peformed another mythfilldatabase. And now that my timezone is correct, all the TV listings are at the correct times!
(I assume this was the same problem with Freevo, but I've since unmerged it, so I can't double check).
Anyway, I just thought I'd share in the chance that someone else had made the same mistake.

I'm having the same problem. Time on computer is correct. The program guide has the correct times for the shows too. It just records 1 hour early.
Anybody know how to fix this?
Thanks. |
