|
|
I have one user that I would like to be able to use my workstation from immediatly on bootup. Currently to start the tightvnc server, I have to login, and type 'vncserver'.
I can't seem to figure out what to put in an init.d file to get this to work (for my specific user - or at all) on bootup. Any suggestions? |

I use xinetd to automatically start the VNC server and dump the client to a KDM screen when someone connects to the port it's running on. This allows the client to get a nearly identical experience over a network as they would get sitting at the workstation, and it only takes up resources when it's in use.
I'm not sure if that's what you want, but it works for me.

You're probably looking for /etc/conf.d/local.start
