I'm runnin openoffice1.0.0-bin and i can't spellcheck. the error in the terminal is

Failure loading aff file /opt/OpenOffice-1.0.0/wordbook/en_US.aff

there is no /opt/Openoffice-1.0.0/wordbook
i symlinked /opt/Openoffice-1.0.0/share/wordbook to tha location, but then structure is noe
wordbook/
wordbook/english/
wordbook/english/soffice.dic
wordbook/english/sun.dic
wordbook/english/th_en_US.dat
wordbook/english/th_en_US.idx
no affs at all.
I have this problem on 2 boxes. |

I installed from binaries and have the files in /usr/local/openoffice/user/wordbook
Perhaps you could grab the binaries version or ask someone to e-mail to you the files? My wordbook dir contains the following so it's not much to e-mail:

I had this problem as well, but I symlinked workbook to /opt/Openoffice-1.0.0/user/wordbook and it works.
Of course, the symlinking should be unnecessary but OpenOffice seems not to want to remember the paths I set for it in the Options.
But there is a fix anyway. |

I use the french dictionnary in my local installation (~/Openoffice1.0.1/usr/wordbook/) and openoffice always lose my settings !!
I mean, I always have to install to dict, each time I use openoffice 
any idea to fix that ? |
