Fluidportage ebuilds for CVS/SVN programs

Any ideas what this is about?

Same error, same line in differant ebuilds?!

for now just comment out the patches, this will be fixed soon, (when someone commit)

Xorg-x11 fails applying a patch as well, should I comment that line in the ebuild too?

0425_all_6.7.0-sun-type6-keyboard.patch

edit: actually, I'd have to move the .patch away

edit2: I renamed to .orig the following patches: 0425, 5130, 9210 and 9962, now it starts compiling.

yeah well

the patches can stop working at any time, if that happens, remove the epatch line(s) from the ebuild till it patches (and hopefully builds)

Commenting out those epatch lines sure does fix the problem, but don't forget that editing stuff inside a subversion repository is not wise if you don't understand the differences between subversion and rsync. (just make sure you run "svn revert -R ." inside the repository before running "svn up" or otherwise the ebuilds you edited may break and you'd have to manually fix them. Also, don't forget to report the problems to me or redeeman so we can fix them.)

Hi, I cant emerge natilus cvs. Is this because it depends on
the cvs versions of net-print/libgnomecups and net-print/gnome-cups-manager?

If so not al dependencies for this package are present;
net-print is absent.

hey guys,
I'm having some problem setting this up...here's what I've done so far.

1) /usr/local/trunk is where all the builds are saved (rev143). I did add /usr/local/trunk to portage overlay, as well as in /root/.fluidportage

2) I added all the xfce-base and xfce-extra lines from README to /etc/portage/package.keywords and package.unmask

3) I updated subversion to 1.1

even after all this I can't emerge anything, emerge -s for xfce4 still shows the old packages in portage...any ideas?

yup, I did add it to /etc/make.conf

at first I did use /usr/local/fluidportage/trunk with same result, that's why I went to /trunk instead. I'll change it back to fluidportage/trunk to see if there's any luck.

Hey,

I've been using fluidportage for a few cvs things and was just wondering ... is it possible to make it not clean the working files so that only stuff that has changed gets rebuilt? That would do wonders for time spent compiling =)

Playing on the hunch that it might be a QT issue; I tried using the QT-CVS ebuild from the "official" KDE-CVS sections. QT compiled fine but whenever I tried moving onto a KDE app it would die on ./configure as it was unable to locate qt-mt (also suggesting that QT wasn't compiled with thread support). I'm not sure if this is because the QT-CVS ebuild is out of date (They haven't been updated since August so its possible) or not but I've since moved back to ~x86 with still no further progress.
