Okay, first of all I would like to say that my english isn't very good.
I use kernel 2.6.5-r1 compiled from a liveCD.
I compiled VIA Rhine support as a module and i can load it (via-rhine).
When i run dhcpcd nothing happens until timeout same when i run /etc/init.d/net.eth0 start
The network's using dhcp and the router is no problem because I've got two other computers with network connection (one using gentoo and one using windowsxp).
A friend told me the full_duplex may be the casue but I cannot turn it off when I load the module: modprobe via-rhine full_duplex=0
Anyone with ideas, or even better solutions?
edit: PROBLEM SOLVED!!! =)
The problem was that I had enabled APIC support in the kernel, I removed it and recompiled and now everything works |
