win4lin stopped working

i have recently upgraded my system and i found that win4lin no longer boots. I mean it tries to, but failes when it tries to log in to windows. I have tried reinstalling windows, that fails at step2, when i am no longer able to continue the installation as win4lin keeps crashing. I also tried reinstalling win4lin, deleted all data including /var/win4lin, but to no avail.
This is on a 2.6.13.2 nitro kernel using ~x86 brach. The kernel is not the problem as it used to work.
I was wondering if someone else has the same problems, to track down the package that caused this. The world upgrade listed just to many packages to be sure including gcc, glib, xorg.
