Greetings all,
I did a search on the forums for this, but it didn't turn up anything. (suexec docroot)
I was wondering how I could possibly change the docroot the suexec module is expecting to find, as I keep my webpages on a special mount under /wwwroot
Anytime someone tries to start up cgi on any of the virtual hosts under that directory, my suexec log reports that the script is outside of the docroot. Well, that's a nice security measure I know, but not so helpful when I don't want to use the default docroot. With the last apache installation I had, I just hacked suexec's .h file and corrected the docroot, then did a make suexec
Is it possible to cleanly change the docroot suexec expects in apache2? I'd like to avoid a hack like the previous way I did it there, as I'm trying to go "all e-builds" now with this system to simplify my administration.
Thanks in advance,
-J |

The docroot is set in the ebuild. If you open the ebuild in an editor and search for "suexec", you'll see it.
Just change it there and re-emerge apache. Downside: you'll have to do this every time there's a new apache _________________ ^]:wq |
