Hi all,
I have an 855gm graphics card from intel. I need to use the multihead functionality of the card which the current X server does not support. The drivers from intel however does.
http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/filter_results.asp?strOSs=39&strTypes=DRV%2CARC&ProductID=922&OSFullName=Linux*&submit=Go%21
It is in an rpm format and I am not sure how to install it. I tried the rpm2targz utility but it complains about finding the gzip magic number but being unable to decompress the file. I am going to try install the rpm with the rpm tools. Is there anything I should know or do?
There is also what appears to be a src package on the url above but trying to install that with the install.sh script results in the error "no target to make gbg.ko" I know this means that the make file cannot be found but don't know how to fix it.
