Unable to boot of 2004.2 LiveCD

I downloaded the image from the UK mirror at work and tried to boot off it once I got home on my Pioneer DVD drive. No luck. So, I downloaded it at home and burned a new CD on a different burner and tried again, still nothing.

What's the most likely cause (the BIOS boot sequence looks right)? Is there any other way to fire up the CD? I looked at it on another box and I was able to browse the file system.

Are you sure downloaded a minimal or universal CD? Package CDs are non-bootable.

basically a minimal LiveCD with a love-sources kernel, available cfq scheduler, reiser4 patches, reiser4progs, and other goodies. No, you don't have to do a reiser4 install with this LiveCD, but you can.

And it actually works, unlike the current trend for official Gentoo LiveCD's!!

Very dissappointed, I hope the community finds the source of this problem quickly so that releng can push a fixed 2004.3 out the door.
