Need help with non-80 traffic on library wifi

My libraries wireless is ridiculous. They only allow port 80 traffic. I can't use IRC or gaim, and can't even ssh into my university account to use IRC. Does anyone know a way around the firewall? Thanks.

There are HTTP proxies for every IM protocol on the market; ICQ and MSN even offer web-based messengers.
For IRC I'd try to find an HTTP gateway as well.
