I want to Install Gentoo on my AMD64 +3400, however, it can't see to locate my HDD's.
I did #fdisk hda, however, it just prints "Unable to open hda", same with hdb, I then tried #cfdisk, and it gave me "FATAL ERROR: Cannot open disk drive". I'm using the amd64 2004.2 Minimal livecd
I know they're there, however its the first time I try to install Linux on this machine, so I can't really say if this is a problem with Gentoo.
The hardware is a ASUS K8V Deluxe mobo, with 2 Seagate Barracuda Serial ATA-150 (120 gig) Harddisks.
Could they be called something else?
Thanks. |
