Kaffeine Troubles

I'm just trying to get kaffeine to work, but I seem to be having issues. Whenever I try to play anything (even the video at startup) kaffeine just shows a blank blue area where the video should be. The konqueror plugin, to play videos inline khtml and in file browsing, does work properly though. Totem works flawlesly, so I'm pretty sure it's not a XINE issue. I am not sure what information I should provide, but if there is anything I can get for you that would help diagnois this, I'd be more than happy to grab it.

hmm that is really odd i have been using kaffeine for awhile now and it plays everything very well for me. What version are u using im using 0.4.3 and i have the latest vresion of Xine as well.

I am running 4.3b with the lastest Xine in portage. I actually am running KDE 3.3 right now, and I think that might have something to do with it. I will test with 3.2 when I get a spare moment.

It was indeed an issue with KDE 3.3 as sorry as I am for admiting it. Quite a silly mistake and it explains the bugs. I hope others can learn from my mistake!

I also have that problem. Video works under fluxbox without a glitch but it doesn´t on kde 3.3 and kaffeine.

I couldn´t work out the problem so far.

What did you do to fix it?
