Just a quick question that has me stumped.
I have a HP Pavilion zx5280 with a built in broadcom wireless adapter. I am using the latest ndiswrapper (0.9 released yesterday) and the latest windows driver from HP.
I can "Overload" the wireless by connecting to too many things all at once. Such as simply loading gaim, and have it trying to connect to 4 servers all at once, the wireless dies. Load up firefox with 5 tabbed home pages, the wireless dies, open bittorrent, the wireless dies. Load Neverwinter Nights and have it try and ping 400 servers at once, the wireless dies.
But I can browse the web just fine as long as I don't go insane with it. I can load gaim, and connect to each server one at a time, and it works just fine. It just seems to die whenever I am trying to have too many packets going in too many different directions at the same time.
And when the wireless dies, it requires a reboot. I have tried to rmmod/modprobe ndiswrapper with no success, I have also removed-reinserted the windows driver from within ndiswrapper. Nothing works, the system must be rebooted in order for the network to be detected once again.
If anyone has any insight or hints to try and solve this I'd be greatful. |
