Hi.

I've just reinstalled Gentoo, and as always i choose my favorite WM, OpenBox. But this time it said:
Code:
(openbox:RANDOM-NUMBER-HERE): Openbox-CRITICAL **: Failed to open the display.

I've also tried to use it with .xinitrc, with different contents ..

Code:

#!/bin/sh
exec openbox

Code:
#!/bin/sh
openbox

Code:
openbox

If i use .xinitrc it just starts up the white/black dotted screen in Xorg (Yes i've tried Xorg with OpenBox before, works fine ..). Some people say that Xorg include twm, but when i write Xorg it just starts the black/white dotted screen, and the cross cursor, nothing i can do .. Same thing happens if i try to run OpenBox via .xinitrc and command "Xorg" ..

Thanks in advance ..

EDIT:
SOLUTION:
Use 'xinit' instead of Xorg to load the .xinitrc file .. Xorg will only start Xorg.
