|
|
I've got an Epson Stylus Color 640, and kernel 2.6.7. I emerged cups and foomatic without any problems. I did my research on linuxprinting.org and also emerged gimp-print which is the recommended driver set for this printer.
Code: | cat test.txt > dev/lp0 |
works properly.
I run foomatic-configure like this:
Code: | foomatic-configure -s cups -p Epson-Stylus_Color_640 -c file:/dev/lp0 -n epson -d gimp-print |
and get 8 occurrences of this error:
Code: | Use of uninitialized value in numeric gt (>) at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.4/Foomatic/DB.pm line 1879 |
I tried to re-emerge foomatic, but the same thing happens. Any suggestions? |

It doesn't help, but I get this exact same problem.... _________________ ~~ Peter: Programmer, Mathematician, STEM & Free Software Advocate, Enlightened Agent, Transhumanist, Fedora contributor

With different hardware - Bug? How do we report it, and to whom? |

Code: | $ cat > /dev/usb/lp0

$ | works perfectly from what I can tell, but foomatic-configure isn't good..
Perhaps we should report this on bugs.gentoo.org ...
