I currently use Gnome. I already use Mozilla,
so I don't need another browser. Is there a
way to turn off epiphany?
In /etc/portage/package.mask,
I added a line
net-www/epiphany
but now, it just says that it can't
emerge anything because gnome
depends on it, and it is masked.
Is there a way to tell it that it already
has epiphany (not like inject, which
will have problems as soon as the
version number changes).
(Is there a list somewhere of what files
are where and what they mean?
I didn't even know about
/etc/portage/package.mask
until someone told me about it.) |

You could inject the epiphany package:
Code: |
emerge inject net-www/epiphany-1.2.6
