I just picked up a seagate 120 gb harddrive, which will be a nice addition since my older hard drive is only 40 gb and almost full.
The question: what exactly is the procedure to install a new hard drive?
I'm comfortable with installing the hardware into the case (ide cable, power cable, etc) but once I reboot, assuming I would like to put /home and /usr on the new hard drive, is it as simple as formating/partitioning the new harddrive, copying stuff over, and than changing the mount point in fstab?
Any comments on if that is the right order to do things would be appreciated. |

JUst did similar to that... Mounted it to my htdocs directory for web serving...
Make sure you use the flag to cp that preserves ownership and permissions (just man it) _________________ Pot of Grass Productions
