hi!

I'm a french newbie and have a resolution problem under kde. I've got a radeon 9800 pro and an Iiyama 22" monitor, which can go up to 2048x1536 @ 75hz.
In fact, I'd like to run kde in 1600x1200 @ 100Hz (the monitor can do it) but i can't get higher than 1280x1024 @ 75 Hz...The kde utility doesn't offer any higher resolution and I don't understand how to do it with the XF86Config-4 file...I've already done many tries, but I can't get higher thann this 1280x1024@75Hz...I think I've done the right settings under fglrxconfig...

Does anybody know what happens????

Thanks al lot to all those who will help me...

In your XF86Config file did you try setting the following within the "Monitor" section?
Code:
HorizSync    LV-UV
VertRefresh  LV-UV

(Where LV=lower_value and UV=upper_value of the ranges appropriate for your monitor.)

I know the ati drivers will work above 75 Hz, as my monitor is running at 85Hz at 1280x1024. But I had to set the above code myself in my XF86Config file.
