hi!
I'm a french newbie and have a resolution problem under kde. I've got a radeon 9800 pro and an Iiyama 22" monitor, which can go up to 2048x1536 @ 75hz.
In fact, I'd like to run kde in 1600x1200 @ 100Hz (the monitor can do it) but i can't get higher than 1280x1024 @ 75 Hz...The kde utility doesn't offer any higher resolution and I don't understand how to do it with the XF86Config-4 file...I've already done many tries, but I can't get higher thann this 1280x1024@75Hz...I think I've done the right settings under fglrxconfig...
Does anybody know what happens????
Thanks al lot to all those who will help me... |

In your XF86Config file did you try setting the following within the "Monitor" section?
Code: | HorizSync LV-UV
VertRefresh LV-UV
|
(Where LV=lower_value and UV=upper_value of the ranges appropriate for your monitor.)
I know the ati drivers will work above 75 Hz, as my monitor is running at 85Hz at 1280x1024. But I had to set the above code myself in my XF86Config file. |
