I'd heard about mirror.ac.uk no longer carrying mirrors, but hadn't yet got around to removing it from my list of mirrors in make.conf..... until today.
Usually, when attempting to emerge a package, it would try to grab it from mirror.ac.uk, but after getting the "File not found" error, would continue on to the next mirror. Today, though, it seemed to download something, would then abort, and would resume the rest of the download from the next mirror. That initial download from mirror.ac.uk (Probably an error message), screwed up the rest of the file transfer, and the md5sums no longer match.
The solution was simple: remove mirror.ac.uk from my make.conf mirror list.
Just thought I'd mention this to prevent other people from having headaches. _________________ Smile - it makes people wonder what you're up to.
