Good News: I finally found a way to get networking up on my 1.8ghz athlon. I decided to run distcc on it and later use it for a mail server.
Bad News: I had to install mandrake and I keep getting this error everytime I try and compile anything.

This is my first time ever owning two computers. So Im not sure if I set up networking correctly. I did an ifconfig and the init_addr were different. One was 192.168.0.100 and the other was 192.168.0.101. So I was sure that would be my input to:
/usr/bin/distccd --set-hosts
Hopefully I did that correctly. I followed the guide strictly so I dont know what to do. Is this something I did wrong with mandrake? |
