Install yaboot bootstrap on /dev/hda2 to boot linux from /dev/hda4? [Yes] Yes .. creating a simple /etc/yaboot.conf
Yabootconfig: Could not determine necessary information aborting.
Yabootconfig: Are you using yabootconfig instead of yabootconfig --chroot ?
mac-fdisk
/dev/hda2 Apple-Bootstrap bootsrap 800.0k NewWorld boot block
fstab
/dev/hda2 /boot ext2 noauto,noatime 1 2
/dev/hda3 none swap sw 0 0
/dev/hda4 / ext3 noatime 0 1
. hope the fstab is correct.

Your /etc/fstab is not correct. /dev/hda2 is an Apple Bootstrap partition, and is needed for yaboot. You should not put that in your /etc/fstab, so just drop the /dev/hda2 line and you should be fine.
The other thread will tell you more about yabootconfig. |
