I use pine:

Quote:

* net-mail/pine
Latest version available: 4.44-r4
Latest version installed: 4.44-r4
Homepage: http://www.washington.edu/pine/
Description: A tool for reading, sending and managing electronic messages.

I've tried lots of other clients, but I keep coming back to pine for some reason. It definately isn't pretty or anything.

Right now I use Microsoft Outlook 2000 (from Office 2000), using Codeweavers Crossover Office. I can run Evolution fine under fluxbox, but when I'm in Gnome2/Sawfish it crashes if I goto Options. I think I will give sylpheed a try, though!

Mozilla Mail rocks my world. Used to use Evolution + Galeon, but on my new setup, Mozilla runs quite well.

pine for reading mail, and fetchmail/sendmail for delivery. not hard to set up.
but if gui is your thing, sylpheed is a well-rounded gtk client.

There have already been a couple threads on the subject, including a big one here. Please post followups there.

Also, more of a chat topic than a support question - if it weren't getting moved to duplicate threads, it'd go to one of the chat forums.
