Hi!

Has anyone tried the last ed2k-gtk-gui - version (not masked) which is available in the portage tree?! I encounter a really stupid problem: Whenever I run ed2k-gui with overnet it shows the gui vor edonkey and whenever I run the program with edonkey it shows the gui for overnet which effectivly renders the program unusable........

any ideas?

Well, I use mldonkey. I find it works better than aMule and xMule... plus, it lets you connect to fastrack, gnutella, etc

i suggest you to use amule 2.0.0rc5. it is very stable and works quite well.
ed2k-gtk-gui is obsolete... latest version was release on 17 January 2004...

So it's in the portage tree now. Not much use I guess. Thanks for the tips, I was searching for a nice P2P client for quite long.[/quote]

I would advise against aMule... It seems to take up a lot of the CPU when I run it, but xMule and mldonkey don't. I have no idea why this is...

Last time I tried it was about a month ago. It was version 2.0+, can't remember which rc it was.
