hallo zusammen
ich habe eine frage zu folgendem problem:

ich habe gesehen, dass in portage das kopete 0.8.4 auf testing gesetzt ist.
kann man etwas welches im status testing ist normal updaten, oder muss
man da speziell vorgehen?
im englschen forum heisst es, dass man folgendes machen müsse:

i simple solution is to update kopete alone..
use the following command:

emerge --oneshot kopete
this will get you kopete 0.8.4 which is fully working with all protocols.
(--oneshot is in order not to get it into world file, and with next kdenetwork release the version will be updated).
comment:
after you compile new kopete, verify you're running it.
new one: /usr/bin/kopete
old one: /usr/kde/3.2/bin/kopete
(my suggestion is to move /usr/bin/kopete to overwrite /usr/kde/3.2/bin/kopete).

ich habe kopete 0.8.4 einfach über die (in kde) vorhandene version mittels ./configure && make && make install installiert. Später wenn die neue version von kde kommt wo die 0.8.4 oder höher drin ist mach ich nur vorher ein make uninstall und alles ist i.O. ohne das portage was merkt und ich zwischenzeitlich doch noch yahoo nutzen kann. (BTW blödes yahoo, warum können nich alle icq/jabber nutzen?)
