The nvidia windows driver has an option for a flicker filter setting. It improves fine details and text with tv-out. I haven't seen such an option in the linux drivers though.
I have a GeForce4 MX440 that works great with the flicker filter in windows, but when I'm in linux the fine details flicker rather badly.
Does anyone have any experience with improving the tv-out quality. Any tips are welcome

| It is 1 month old post. But anyway, If you haven't find the solution yet. emerge nvidia-settings. It has TV flicker filter setting. |

Yes, thanks I found it when I installed the latest driver.
It seems to be quite useable now
