ok I have an audigy2zs, I compiled the emu101k drive in the kernel. I'm using gentoo-sources.
So I followed the guide.. emerged alsa-driver, alsa-oss and alsa-utils
now I go to run amixer, it says
Code: | amixer: Mixer attach default error: No such device |
I'm pretty sure the device is running.. because doing /etc/init.d/alsasound start, it says the module is started already |

If you compiled it in the kernel, I believe you also still have to do emerge emu10k1. |
