Emerge vlc-0.7.2-r1 failed, something to do with livedotcom.cpp:

I upgraded live from media-plugins/live-2004.03.27 to media-plugins/live-2004.07.20, then vlc-0.7.2-r1 emerged successfully!

Another question, why can't I call forth the gnome-vlc interface? I've tried vlc, qvlc, gvlc and gnome-vlc, it always gives me kvlc interface (or is it called wxWindows interface?). This is not the case with vlc-0.7.2, though.
