openoffice 2004.1 problem & solution

Problem:
You are starting this version of OpenOffice.org for the first time
As the user install has changed again you will have to redo your settings
running openoffice.org setup...
setup failed.. abort

wtf??

Solution:
Dont start OO as root - it can't create the necessary per user config files and dies... badly.

I thought someone would find this useful...

Hm, I never started any setup and yust ran oowriter or so...
But I'm using the ximian version (xoowriter) - successfully emerged with -march=i686 -03 -pipe.
