Are you referring to the multiple xmms processes that start when you run xmms? For example, when I run xmms, and do a ps ax I get:
Code: |
15393 ? S 0:00 xmms
15394 ? S 0:00 xmms
15395 ? S 0:00 xmms
15398 ? S 0:00 xmms
15399 ? S 0:00 xmms
15400 ? S 0:00 xmms
15402 ? Ss 0:00 xmms
|
This is normal. Apperantly xmms is a multi-process application. If you are talking about multiple instances of xmms (multiple xmms windows) then that could be controlled with a setting withing xmms. Right-click on xmms, then select "options" from the menu. Then, select "preferences". When the preferences dialog box comes up, got to the "Options" tab. On the second column, first row there's an option "Allow multiple instances". Just uncheck it. |

Ok, I just tryied xmms in fluxbox, I think I know what you're referring to. You're seeing xmms, the xmms playlist, and something else in the taskbar, and most likely, the window list too. I've googled, but I haven't found a way to tell fluxbox to ignore an application and not show it in the window list. Sorry Hopefully a fluxbox guru will see this and post a solution. |
