Hi there,
It may sound stupid, but I was wondering if it's possible to put a kind of variable (like \n for the hostname) in the /etc/issue file that shows which virtual console I'm using?
Does anyone know? Would be handy someties... I've seen this at other distribs, but I hope I don't have to install one of them just to find out how this is done...
Anyway, thanx in advance,
Max |

I checked the man pages and came up empty but i remembered i had a harddrive laying around with mandrake 8.2 on it. Your comment about seeing other distros do it jogged my memory. |
