Emerged ardour yesterday and tried to start it today. It opens fine, I can open a new project. But then 8 out of 10 it chrashes with:
Quote: | bash-2.05b# ardour
Ardour/GTK 0.514.3 running with libardour 0.814.2
Loading UI configuration file /etc/ardour/ardour_ui.rc
Loading system configuration file /etc/ardour/ardour_system.rc
Loading user configuration file /root/.ardour/ardour.rc
ALSA lib seq_hw.c:446:(snd_seq_hw_open) open /dev/snd/seq failed: No such file or directory
ardour: [WARNING]: MMC MIDI port "seq" not available: no MMC control possible
Loading session /active/test2 using snapshot test2
Segmentation fault
bash-2.05b#

The midi port warning is normal, as my RME hammerfall does not have a midi port. Thing I did when it happens are:
- creating a new project
- inserting an audio track
- switch to mixer
- insert external audio file in master
Once it is up and you can create a track it seems to stay up (but I haven't used it intensly or long enough to be sure). _________________ Expert in non-working solutions |
