I gave up on trying to install from the stage2 tarball after coming into many problems and not being able to find anyone here to help me, So i decided to try stage3 tarball, but when i began to install kernal sources with "emerge gentoo-dev-sources" i get the following error
Code:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 2) dev-libs/ucl-1.01-r1 to /
>>> Downloading http://gentoo.oregonstate.edu/distfiles/ucl-1.01.tar.gz
/usr/bin/wget: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so.0.9.7: cannot enable executable stack as shared object requires: Error 14
>>> Downloading http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo/distfiles/ucl-1.01.tar.gz
/usr/bin/wget: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so.0.9.7: cannot enable executable stack as shared object requires: Error 14
>>> Downloading http://www.oberhumer.com/opensource/ucl/download/ucl-1.01.tar.gz
/usr/bin/wget: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so.0.9.7: cannot enable executable stack as shared object requires: Error 14
!!! Couldn't download ucl-1.01.tar.gz. Aborting.
