i recently emerged KSensors. everything is working htere, and i have a KDE menu item for it in Utilities.
but now a "Lost + Found" item has appeared in my KDE menu, and I can't get rid of it. when i go to edit the menu and delete KSensors under Lost+Found and then hit Save, the KSesnsors is back!
this is driving me crazy. please help.
thanks,

There are about four different places that KDE's menus are stored
1) in /usr/kde/somewhere ...
2) in the user's home folder for kde somewhere
3) then the KDE Menu Editor has ITS own addition to the menus in your home folder
4) seems like there might have been a fourth location in a system folder somewhere
I will try and see if I can find my notes on this and get back with the locations ... I personally like KDE and use it exclusively, but the menu situation is very agrevating in my opinion. |

Found my notes:
When you add/remove something from the kmenu with kmenedit it marks it added/deleted within the following file:
~/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu
To see where kde looks for menu directories run:
Code: | kde-config --path apps |
