Neither of the two cards are recognized. I followed the alsa installation on the gentoo site to no avail.
Code: |
root@pwner Music # grep -i audio /proc/pci
Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Live! EMU10k1 (rev 10).
Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8233/A/8235 AC97 Audio Controller (rev 80).

Thanks,

Oh well, I've got the same combination on my system and it works great !
I disabled my AC97 in Bios (probably you don't even need to do that, but who needs AC97 when you have SB Live ).
The rest was rather easy. I just enabled ALSA in the Kernel Config (using 2.6 Tree) and enabled EMU10k1 in Kernel Config too. |
