I need to uncompress a windows driver in gentoo. How do I do this? Is it even possible? specifically I am trying to unpack bcm4306 which is a TrueMobile 1300 wireless driver that is downloadable from dells website.
Thank you in advance.

if it is a zip self extracting package then you can use unzipsfx.
if it is something else then you could use wine to start the executable and then extract it that way.
if it is a msi package then you can extract it with command line options and wine.
cheers

Thanks steveb. The driver is a self extracting exe file. I have decided to uncompress it on a windows machine and transfer it over to gentoo. Since I don't have samba setup right now I guess I will just burn it to disc.
