Moin,
ich will auf kernel 2.6.8 umsteigen - soweit ohne probleme, aber das emergen von Nforce-net klappt nicht.
den 1. Fehler (das auffinden von modpost) konnte ich schnell beheben, aber jetzt krieg ich folgendes:

Ich weiss ja nicht, welches Patchset die Gentoo Sources benutzen, aber offenbar sind die mit dem Nvidia Treiber inkompatibel.
Du kannst den forced-eth Treiber aus dem Kernel nehmen oder mal testen, ob es mit Vanilla Sources geht. |

ich benutze den 2.6.7 kernel und alles läuft,
nforce-net wollte bei mir auch nicht emergen, Grund : device not found
Im Kernel hab ich nur das FORCEDETH module einkompiliert.

Worin besteht der Vorteil, wenn man die Binär-Treiber von NVidia nimmt und nicht das ForceDeth-Modul? _________________ Athlon 2600+ Barton, Asus A7N8x-X, nForce2, Asus Geforce FX5700 256mb, TwinMos 512ddr-sdram cl 2.5

Keine Ahnung, aber bei den frischeren Kernels emerged nforce-net net
da ists doch einfacher direkt das ForceDeth-Modul zu nehmen, oder? |
