Hi!

I recently lost my usb stick with my secret gpg key on it, but I still have a copy of that key, so I can generate a revocation certificate.

What are the correct steps to revoce that key? Can I upload the certificate to a keyserver (or maybe a revoced version of this key) to inform people trying to download the public key that it is invalid? I really would like to generate a new key with the same user ID, but the different versions should not be confusing to others.

Or I could change the key to expire today...

Please tell me the right way to handle this.
Thanks!
