Kasablanca ftp client vs. iptables

Cannot get the kasablanca ftp-client to work with
iptables up. Stopping IPtables kasablanca works fine.

It doesn't list the dirrectory but stops with
----------------------------------
PWD

257 "/" is current directory.

----------------------------------

Which service needs those ports beyond 145x TCP ports?
This is what I can see in the log.

This sounds like a typical active/passive ftp problem. More than likely, you need to use passive ftp . An excellent explanation is here:
