I read here ( https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38967 ) that the SPAMCONTROL patch itself is not part of the current portage dist of qmail. Basically because most of what that provides is already in the existing patches.
I need the badmailfrom capability based on the "RELAYCLIENT" not being set, so that I can have incoming email denied based on the interface that the email is coming in on... i.e. it's a front end forwarder/relay for a backend mail server. I don't want email coming in on the external Internet facing side to be allowed "From:" my own domains. As far as I understand it, the SPAMCONTROL patch does that for me.
Does this existing functionality exist in the existing portage qmail patches? if so, is it the same or do I need to do something different to accomplish this?
I can apply the SPAMCONTROL patches to a clean 1.03 dist of qmail, but I like the existing patches that are a part of the gentoo release as well...
Thoughts?
Thanks. |
