Hi,
I run a FreeBSD 4.8 server at home where I use my gentoo box to connect to it. When I try to use mutt or evolution, I receive fcntl() lock errors.
The weird thing is that mutt works fine on my other FreeBSD 4.8 box and it has the same fstab. The relevant line in my fstab (identical for both boxes) is as follows:
Code: |
hak:/cnd0 /cnd0 nfs rw,nodev,nosuid
|
My /etc/exports on hak (the FreeBSD 4.8 server) looks like this:
Code: |
/cnd0 /cnd0/mail -network 192.168.1.0 -mask 255.255.255.0
|
It's a really strange problem. I hope one of you can help. Thanks! |

Well I finally solved the issue. On the BSD server, the NFS lock dameon wasn't running. Silly me!
BSD has gotta get rc-update! |
