Hi, I was just thinking that when performing an emerge world you're really not able to read those messages (sometimes rather important ones) that some ebuilds output. Is it possible to somehow read them afterwards, when the emerge world is complete?

Cheers.

Set PORT_LOGDIR to a valid directory (/var/log/portage is the usual, but you'll have to create it) in make.conf, and then you should get two logfiles for each merge. One is the complete build output, the other is just the messages (einfo and ewarn).
