I just emerged Kde3.3.0_rc2. I didn't get any errors but when I tried to login into KDE3.3, I get a bunch of error messages from klauncher. None of my applications appear either. I can't even run the kde control center. It is like all of my applications disappeared. However, nothing of value shows up in the backtrace funtion.
I did the very insecure thing to do and logged in as root. Everything started up fine. I checked my permissions and they seemed to checkout.
I am running the 2.6.7-nitro-sources (a very nice kernel, by the way) and using xorg-x11 for my xserver. I have tried re-emerging kde but it didn't do anygood. I searched the forums but I didn't see anyone with the same problem. Does anyone have any ideas?
