which FS to choose?

until now i was using ext2 without (larger) problems....but just for adventure's sake i'm willing to switch to another fs ...the only problem is which one?

ext3? - i heard quite a bit raving about it, almost everybody i know using it had something to add to the "what makes me sick about ext3" list

ReiserFS? - acctually i don't know much about it ...eccept it has journaling ...which i take as a plus

XFS? - i now absolutely _nothing_ about it :(

the gentoo install how-to mentions all of them and neither has any extreme pluses or minuses ...so i would really appretioate some help/comments on this
