Hi!
First of all, thanks for popping in
I just set up a Gentoo box running vsftpd (via xinetd), apache2, (open)sshd and maybe various other services in the future. However, there's on problem I currently got to track down regarding vsftpd and sshd.
vsftpd is configured in a way allowing local users to log in via ftp to upload their files to their ~/. All these users are allowed to login via ssh into the system, too. However, there are certain accounts i want only ftp-access to be granted - I tried setting their default shell to /bin/false; however, this totally prevented them from accessing the box, with /bin/false as shell, they can't even use ftp.
What I'd like to know now is the most comfortable way to:
1.) allow user A to be able to upload files to his homedir
2.) forbid user A to connect via ssh
Usefull input highly appreciated, thanks in advance for helping me out!
Cheers,
