Sweet, as soon as acovea finishes, and I can reset my CFLAGS, I'll be able to brag about how great the new version is! Of course, by then, it'll be KDE4 |

I have a strange problem with Konqueror, this actually existed with KDE 3.3_RC2 as well. It opens a blank page when I start it, and when I try to load any URL, it spawns an ifinite amount of instances of itself, until I enter "killall konqueror". I started having problems with konqueror with KDE 3.3_beta2 - it worked without any problems for a while, then it started always opening up any URL in a new window regarldess of what I do (I set it to always use multiple tabs in one window). With RC2 and up, instead of opening up the website in the new window, the new window just spawns another new window, ad infinitum. I'm not sure what caused the problem. Can anyone help me out? |

I just emerged sync'ed....did
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge -p kde
Voila!! It shows the 3.3.0 version.
I'd seen other posts previously that all parts weren't in portage earlier today..is this true this afternoon, or is it good to go now?
TIA,

Ok this sounds like the problem I created when I changed in the Control Center, the "KDE Components/Component Chooser/Web Browser" and I had konqueror in the box. It should be set to the first option, "in an application based on the contents of the URL". Check it out and try changing it if need be. |

Cayenne:
I still can't see all the new ebuilds -- did emerge sync about 45 minutes ago ... some are in ... not all.
I have 13 of ummm.... what I'd guess at would be 19 or 20 -3.3.0.ebuild files.
:
-- no master kde-3.3.0.ebuild yet ... (18:25 EDT 19 aug 2004) -- lessee ... synced off of ...134.68.220.73 which is... iupui.edu ... _________________ sufficiently advanced systems are indistinguishable from magic.

Everything you need to know for setting up Kmail for encryption and public keys is here.
http://kmail.kde.org/kmail-pgpmime-howto.html
I used that guide and everything is working good, you mostly just need to emerge the deps then make sure gpg-agent is started with kde. The only problem I have is gpg-agent will start a new instance everytime you log into KDE or atleast it seems that way for me. Caleb mentioned in his announcement about a ~/.kde/shutdown folder to go along with the ~/.kde/env folder but I'm not sure if gpg-agent should be killed when you exit kde or if the startup script should check to see if it's running first.
I just have a script in ~/.kde/env/ that has this in it:
Code: | eval "$(gpg-agent --daemon)" |
After I log out of KDE and startx again I'll have another gpg-agent process running. |
