Also Kernel Version ist gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.7-r13, Soundkarte ist ne Hercules Gamesurround Fortissimo II, CS4624 Chip.
Hardware Mixing Support funktioniert nur mit dem neuen DSP-Code, da bringt aber trotzdem folgende Meldung:

1. Jemand eine Ahnung was das bedeuted?
So weiter gehts, ich habe mittlerweile zig Hotwos durch und Anleitungen, u.a. vom gentoo-wiki, leider ohne Erfolg.
2. Dmix Plugin funktioniert gar nicht - da gibts null Sound - Hilfe erwünscht.
Meine .asoundrc - vielleicht etwas wüst aber ist halt viel Konfigurationspotential da und wenig Ahnung  .

Das playback.pcm des Asymd Devices wäre schön wenn es dmixer wäre wie in den Howtos angegeben, aber da gibts dann null Sound.
Ein alsaplayer -o alsa -d plug:dmix some.mp3 liefert auch keinen Sound.
Es wäre also schön wenn dmix Plugin funktioniert und trotzdem Sorround Sound geht und nat. auch das Micro.

Meine Front+Rear Speaker gehen also nur mit ch40dup Device.
Problem dabei ist aber auch, ich bekomme meinen Line-In Sound nur auf den Front Speakern, die Rear sind tot was Line-In angeht, wie bekommch das gelöst ?

Dann wären da noch meine Kopfhörer, dort sind welche dran - funktioniert in Windows, aber Alsa tut dort nichts an Sound drauf, die sind auch stumm ... ok könnte ein Mixer Problem sein, aber selbst wenn alle Kanäle max sind tut sich da nix, und das Headphone Mixer Control selbst steuert die Rear Speaker an ... nuja.
Viele Probleme also ... ich hoffe jemand hat ne Idee.
Für Ratschläge binch offen, ich probier alles - hab ja auch scho zig Sachen probiert ^^.
Artsd ist nich in Benutzung, auch kein esd - soll auch nach nicht genutzt werden.

Die 2te Soundkarte ist Onboard, die hat früher zwar mal guten Sound geliefert, mittlerweile tut sie das aber weder unter Windows, noch unter Linux - da forsch ich noch dran warum, aber die ist irrelevant, daher ignoriern geht um die erste.
Das deaktivieren der 2ten hilft übrigens nicht falls wer den Vorschlag machen will ^^.
